JUST ANOTHER DAY OF #BEACHTRASH AT NAVY STREET AT VENICE BEACH

Welcome to Venice Beach!...

Dateline: Friday, July 21, 2017 at Navy St. at Venice Beach... it's business as usual for the L.A. County Dept. of Beaches & Harbors (LACDBH), namely, they are NOT cleaning up #beachtrash
on a daily basis, and in fact, are ignoring it even when it is right OUT IN THE OPEN and OBVIOUS!...

Navy St., Venice Beach, California...

The above #beachtrash is right next to a summer day camp full of kids...

#Beachtrash UNCOLLECTED by LACDBH (B&H)!...  This is the #beachtrash I observed just after 10 a.m. at Navy St.

10:08 a.m. on a Friday and look at this mess!...

And below are two photos of a blue LACDBH (B&H) truck with 3 employees in it that drove by the #beachtrash next to the trash can at Navy St. twice... Once on their way from Rose Ave past Navy St. and on past the border with Santa Monica where they kept going until they passed Ocean Park (in the City of Santa Monica) and turned around at Santa Monica lifeguard tower #25 (at 10:30 a.m., approx.) and returned back to Venice without ever getting out of their truck and never stopping to pick up the #beachtrash beside the trash can at Navy St.  You can even see the tire tracks of the B&H truck in the photo below that I took after 12 noon! when they drove past the #beachtrash a second time...

B&H truck turning around at Santa Monica lifeguard tower #25, below:

B&H truck in Sana Monica at Ocean Park heading back to Venice without ever stopping and getting out of the truck...

Center of frame, below, in the distance, is B&H blue truck still in the City of Santa Monica (which is outside their jurisdiction) and returning to Venice and heading on a path that will take them right beside the #beachtrash next to the trash can at Navy St. and that they continued on past without stopping to pick it up...

Below, here is the same #beachtrash at Navy St. in a photo I took just after 12 noon. QUESTION: Why did the B&H truck and its 3 occupants not stop and pick up and remove this #beachtrash when they drove right past it?!...

Zero accountability.  The continued failure of LOS ANGELES COUNTY to audit and remedy this continuing failure to collect and dispose of #beachtrash, etc. on a daily basis is a profound violation of the public trust and continues to represent a threat to public health and safety.

Respectfully submitted,

William Maguire,
Attorney at law,
U.S. Citizen and resident of Los Angeles County
